We may have Edouard tomorrow as well with the system about to exit africa.

    Link

A VIGOROUS AND WELL-DEFINED TROPICAL WAVE IS LOCATED OVER WESTERN
AFRICA A FEW HUNDRED MILES EAST OF DAKAR SENEGAL. THIS SYSTEM HAS
THE POTENTIAL TO BECOME A TROPICAL CYCLONE VERY QUICKLY AFTER IT
EMERGES INTO THE EASTERN ATLANTIC ON TUESDAY.

    Busy in the tropics!!

GOMEX is very warm at the moment so if she slows down a little she could strengthen to beyond CAT1 before landfall.

Thanks for the update Hal1, I'll be glued to Fox and CNN tomorrow for live landfall reports.

Anyone know what the 7AM landfall is in Irish Summer Time?

Have a weather station?, why not join the Ireland Weather Network - http://irelandweather.eu/

Just got off the phone from my mate who lives in S. Texas, just S of Corpus Christi, he said it was quite the blow but that the rain was the real bitch...reckons some local places had nearly a foot in the last 2 days...also said there were a lot of small tornadoes and waterspouts in the area during landfall. The rain is badly needed but the ground is that dry a lot of it is just running off and flooding the place...also says there's going to be a plague of mosquitoes come next week.
I missed the run up to this storm...DSL was off...typical. South Padre's a lovely place, hope it didn't get too badly messed up...
