help shadow poblem

    hey i have a shadow around figuires and writing just started to happen a day after i got it have everything hooked up have hdtv and correct resoultion hope someone can help me out ?

    How can anybody help with post like that?

    Is it a PS3 you have, which one?
    What make TV & model no.?
    What resolution are you displaying at?
    etc, etc, etc ................

    I remember some warnings while you are installing MGS4, they said if you were using HD on some Plasma screen televisions that it would harm it if you stayed in the same frame for a certain period in time. Stuck pixels (or whatever they are in Plasma) and shadowing as some conciquences.

    sorry about that new at this.i have ps3,40GB i have the ps3 display on 720p . the tv is lcd hdtv ready sony bravia kdf-e50a11e its resolution 720p. hope some one can help

    As mentioned earlier, take as clear a picture as possible showing the problem and post it here.

    Are you using a HDMI cable. If so, let the HDMI cable setup automatically and it will pick the best resolution to display.

    Also, to eliminate the PS3 or TV as an issue.

    A: Try a BluRay via PS3. Normal TV does not count as it will not be HD. Does the problem remain.

    B: Try a DVD. Does it remain?

    C: If using HDMI, try via normal scart output instead to rule out HD output.

    D: Turn off all extra features on the TV such as light control etc. Does the problem disappear. This will rule out the TV as the issue.

    You have 3 possible problems. HDMI cable, PS3 HD output, or TV.

    You can rule out HDMI cable by going to step C.
    Rule out TV by doing step D.
    Rule out game using step A.
    Step B can be used to rule out HD output.

    Try a few steps in combo and see the results.

    I had a similiar issue. I just unplugged the HDMI cable and plugged it back in and the picture went back to normal.
