    remembering something
    that is always forgotten
    feet wearing shoes
with no soles at the bottom

    balancing in the air
    no wings on these birds
    A paradox im speaking
    without speaking words

    we cry when happy
    we leave our lovers
    its painful to hurt them
but we leave them for others

    we love our children
    and expect nothing back
yet good deads on this earth
    are something we lack

    without understanding
    ignorance is blessed
    the simplest things
    are always the best

    the trees are torn down
    the sky is made black
    these simple things
    are just soon to stop

    no feet wearing shoes
    no soles on the grass
    nothing to behold it
    but nothing would last

    -Tim Phelan

(I don't do this often enough and I love english. Heres a simple poem I wrote in half an hour. Im not a fan of obsessive rhyming schemes but its sorta developed itself verse by verse. Fun to write, obviously I had some theme in mind)
