splitting virgin media

    i have broadband upstairs and wanted to put my tv upstairs so i bought a splitter to do this, there is a box on the wall were the internet cable comes in from outside and on opening this there is something inside called an isolator whats that? also i put the splitter in the tv seems to work however the internet is saying connected but nothing is working it keeps coming up with page cannot be displayed can anyone explain how i may get this ti work

    While we do of course welcome Northern Ireland / Great Britain posters here, you'll probably find the vast majority of cable/MMDS contributors to this board have UPC rather than Virgin Media.

    It might therefore be a good idea to ask the question also on Digital Spy, where the contributers there will be more familar with the set-up regarding Virgin Media.

    Yeah Digital spy would be your best bet or give virgin a call.

    It is good to see such constructive comments from " Princess Innocent Knickers
    Moderator" who is actually a mod on this site ! Maybe if propoer mods started cracking down on this crap we could actually have a contructive forum ! ...... dont see that happening though
