Speed?

Evening gents (and ladies, you never know).

I'm 20 years old and I haven't shaved in about three weeks and there still isn't an awful lot of hair growing. Under my jaw, around my Adam's apple and just below my ears are pretty hairy but my cheeks are smooth and there's very little growth under my nose and on my chin.

Just for some perspective, how quickly does your facial hair grow?

The average is about a half inch of growth a month but for some people it's more, some it's less.

If you have dark/black hair it grows much quicker than, if have fairer hair.

It's your age too anyway. I'm 24 and mine has only really started thickening up properly in the last few years. Some guys are lucky enough to be able to grow full beards at 15..others it takes into their twenties..some even thirties. It'll come eventually.

I remember growing in my goatee, horrible experience! I was working in a bar so you can imagine how much fun the customers had with an 18 year old boy covered in downy fluff!
It was worth it in the end. My girlfriend and many of my friends haven't seen me without any facial hair. I do wonder what it'd be like without one for the first time in about 6 years

My friend is 16 and can grow a proper beard in about a week. He has been able to do that for about a year.
