So my laptop won't charge - anyway of knowing whether its the power supply, battery, or charger thats at fault. I'm in USA so using a plug converter - it was working fine for ages then stopped working yesterday

you were using it fine in the US and youre sure the input accepts voltages between 100-240 Volts?

Its possible you just suffered a power surge :/ where are you in the USA? Thunderstorms can be a bitch.

    1) As suggested above, take out battery and plug into mains, if it does not work then problem lies with charger/power adapter.

    2) Bring Laptop to someone you know with a similiar model or a PC store and test using their power adapter.
