Got a new hard drive am going to stick vista 64 bit on it, is there a readiness analyser you can run, I remember there being one with win2k that tells you whether you have unsupported hardware and the like ?

This small software tool will scan your computer and create an easy-to-understand report of all known system, device, and program compatibility issues, and recommend ways to resolve them. Upgrade Advisor can also help you to choose the edition of Windows Vista that best fits the way you want to use your computer.

from a hardware perspective the only thing you really need to check it whether your processor is 64bit compatible , if you have an intel box look it up to see if has the EMT64 extenstions most recent machines do, if you have an AMD then it needs to be an opteron or and Athlonx64 chip. After this is its really a case of whether the applications you want to run are compatible with 64bit, most are as they will run in a 32bit compatibility mode if they are not nativly 64bit , but there are some exceptions out there, you have to find this out for yourself.

cheers dude, though thats not a driver, it says "This product is a module that expands the functionality of the printer driver", so you already need a driver installed, which would be some job seems at there are no 64 bit vista drivers lol , however reading some forums It seems that it's compatible with the Windows built-in BJC-8000 drivers, so I shall try my luck with those

Vista 64 found a 64bit driver for my Epson printer, just let it find it itself and it will usually find a compatible driver. This is somewhere Vista has improved over Xp.

You don't need a 64bit driver, most of the time the 32bit xp driver will do the job.
