Mackerel fishing near New Ross

Have a place down in st mullins but have never fished down past new ross. Will be down there in the morning, how far down from new ross towards the sea should I be going? Anyone reccommend a good spot near enough New Ross for Mackerel fishng? Any help much appreciated ;)
