so i have a 1st gen iphone bought in the states

i've hacked it so i can use my o2 contract sim in it and everything works great.

    Q. can i insure this with o2's (eaglestar) phonecover policy at €6/€9 a month cover? even though i didnt officially buy the phone form o2

    What's not covered with Phonecover

    - Any mobile phones that are unable to be registered and approved with O2 Ireland Limited.

so asking them to take out cover on an iPhone you didn't purchase from them doesn't look likely... the only answer that matters is one you get from them... so you'd have to ask them!
