what is it with people driving round in bright daylight with their front fog lights on, thinking it makes the car "sporty looking", for one its annoying if the ejjit is behind you and its about as "sporty" looking as jade goody in a tracksuit...

    * No "why do people not turn off their fog light" threads - they have been done before

They actually do, although not by blinding you. Perception of distance is affected by height of lights from the ground - a car with front fogs on and no headlights thus appears at first glance to be further away than the same car at the same distance with headlights & no fogs.

It's illegal here too unless in fog or falling snow!

OP - you'd better read the charter! ;)

What annoys me even more than fog lights , is dipped headlights which are not setup right, therefore blinding everyone. That in conjunction with fog lights can be really hard on the eye.
