its ok.. i suppose i've been a lot happier over the last 6 months than if i didnt have a mp3 player..

sorry to ruin your thread but i'd nearly buy out of a reputable shop, on the creative forum the people are EXCELLENT,(but its a bit empty there) very helpful, but their customer support is crap, my 4gb one has to be exchanged twice as it kept freezing so buying over the internet mightnt be the best idea.

whoops, probably shouldnt be advwertising their forum but its not half as good as boards anyways..

    good find though ro

That's one thing I will say about Creative mp3 players. They crash. A lot.

But that's a bargain, and I'm soooo tempted but I already owe 300 euro on my credit card...

As it's a refurbished item, it's a saving of 125 euro on the equivalent new one. The trade-off is that you get...

    # A fully functional unit which may contain some cosmetic defects
    # Limited warranty (90 days instead of 1 year)

    Still sounds a great deal!

Keep in mind that somebody sent this one back because it was faulty and chances are that it will become faulty again. After waiting nine months for a full refund I won't buy any more Creative products.

I'm the complete opposite. I bought a refurb Zen VisionM last November. It worked fine until June when the hard disk died. I sent them an e-mail and within 36 hours I had an RMA number. I dropped the unit off at their office in Airways and had the unit couriered back to me within a week with a new HD.

I had my refurb unit for almost 8 months but they still replaced the disk under warrenty.

I would have a completely different experience with Creative too.
Bought the old 20GB Zen when it came out and have never had a minute's problem with it. It's still playing away merrily connected to my 'stereo' (age giveaway). Got a 16GB Zen when they came out and has been fine since the day I bought it.
