I don't think so. I think you have to make your own way. Its a small gig so I can't imagine Dublin bus doing anything for it.

Theres a regular train service from Heuston to Tullamore. The station is a short walk to the shuttle bus or you could just walk the whole way in about 45 minutes if you wanted. Anyone hear yet if they revised their booze in the campsite policy from last year?

    No booze in the campsite??
Is the campsite open on Friday or Saturday?

Yeh last year they searched all the rucksacks on the way into the campsite. Someone mentioned it was something to do with the temp drink license they had and it would be sorted this year. Campsite opens Saturday morning.

Really hope they have that booze in the campsite problem sorted this year. Should be a great weekend.

I contacted the officials of castlepalooza and they said... "Alcohol has never been allowed into the arena which includes camping due to our license.
Prices are reasonable on site so don't worry!
    CP"

Can anyone tell me if they will enforce this?? That completely sucks. How far is it back to the carpark?? Is it within walking distance???
    Please help

Carpark is about a 30 minute walk. Theres a shuttle bus though that is semi frequent.

Theyve enforced the no booze thing the last two years alright though year one they were a lot more lax about it than year two. They were opening up rucksacks and searching last year.

at what stage were they searching? before getting on the bus? or entering the campsite? or entering the gigs? once we arrive in the carpark is there no point bringing booze with us at all?

Theres a long driveway into the castle. You get your wristband at the gates of the driveway but the actual entrance is at the end of it. They searched at that point. You might be able to get away with some stuff hidden at the bottom of your rucksack. They werent really ripping through stuff. Getting any significant amount of cans in will be hard though.
