    Hi Richie,

If they have 45 players, they would start with 5 tables of 9 players and the game is no limit texas hold em and players are eliminated when they lose all thier chips. As players are eliminated, the tables are kept balanced to try and keep same numbers at each table so after 5 players gone, there will be 8 players at each table and if 2 or more players of first 5 gone are from one table, players from the full tables are moved to this one in an effort to keep the same number of players on each table. After 9 players gone, they will close one table and they will be left with 4 tables of 9 players and they will continue this way until they have final table of 9. Generally, 10% of the field make the money so in this case they would pay top 4 or 5. Winner is last man standing. I would recommend that you play online tournaments for real small stakes, either single table tournaments (sit & goes) or multi table tournaments, to learn the game before you enter the casino games. Home games are a great way to learn also.
