How do you erase files on a dvd-rw?

i recently downloaded a movie on a dvd-rw and used dvd flick to create the dvd..was woundering how do i delete this avi file? i tried to right click and erase cd but it wouldnt me any ideas?

What error did it throw up?

Try something like imgburn to erase the dvd instead
