Nothing wrong with that at all, it's more than adequate!

Again, for your granny's needs it would be prefectly capable, if a little slower than the first one. To be honest, for the extra 30 quid I'd go with the first one.

This doesn't bear in mind the reliability of either, as I'm unaware of the status of either, but both being Vostro models I can't imagine there's much difference.

I gave my old man a Dell Pentium 2 laptop that was removed from a skip he was happy enough with it. Most old ones use their PCs for basic word documents and brousing. They are hardly going to use them for file crunching programmes like DVD decrypting and Games.

What an incredibly disrespectful thing to say. Give 'em any old crap, sure they will be fine. What would they know?

Anyway, OP for what you have described, either will do. You won't beat Dell for price.

Hey guys. My granny has asked her to get her a laptop. Shes been doing computer courses for thye last few months. Ive picked this one out for her:

    http://configure.euro.dell.com/dellstore/config.aspx?b=&c=ie&cs=iebsdt1&kc=N4X15102&l=en&m_30=143259&oc=N0715109A&rbc=N0715109A&s=bsd

All she wants to do is practice using MS Word, look at pictures and print things. I cant justify paying more than 400e.

Wud this laptop suit the requirements??
If not can any1 recommend sumthing different??

I dont want to get her sumting sh**ty either.

This is a great laptop I got one for my neighbour last week lovely and thin nice finish to it and seems pretty sturdy worked out at €345 delivered with an e-value code N0715111A but I think it's expired
