So todays Friday the last day of the week and also my last day as I will be on my holidays - and no suprise's here NO PAY at all in my bank. I already posted a thread here saying that the way the company pay me is irratic and inconsistent but I ore warned them all week to make sure my holiday pay is in today as I will need it. So I have an hour before close of today and no one is left except me what do I do?
Ive already tried to call the bosses but they are not answering (I know they are in meetings too) But I am furious! How can they be this bad! I know some of the other employees are in the same boat but come on ! I am livid.. anybody tell me what do I do now please...? Thanks!

Is this your normal pay day? The reason I ask is most companies will only pay once a month and it doesn't matter if you leave in the middle of the month or not as you get paid on that day.

Also you stated you're going on holidays, are these holidays the final days of your employement?

As for what can be done the answer is most likely nothing even if you get hold of a manager. You already said they are irregular payers and it is very doubtful they have your cash in hand. Anything else would not be available today.

Go to the person who does the payroll. Explain the situation. Ask them to write you a cheque. Run to the bank and lodge it.

    Hey,
I work in construction and I get paid weekly so every other company I worked for you get three weeks pay. And today is my pay day Fridays are paydays here well they started off every Friday !! But sometimes they might not pay me till the following Monday or Wedensday or whenever ! They are so bad! So I told them on monday and on wedensday to make sure my holiday pay was in the bank for today as I needed it - which to me and every1 else in the company would be the norm!
So I am fumin - I am prob going to have to cancel my already paid for holiday now as I will have no spending money!
    I love this compnay dearly!!!!

How much do you need for your holiday? €600? Anyone in your family who could rustle that up for you?

    That's a bit ****ty alright.

    However...

What bank does your employer use?
    What bank do you use?

You do realise pay day doesn't mean that's the day the money will land in your bank account, right?

I hate that. I've worked for companies who have that kind of laissez faire attitude to paying staff. With one company I was to get paid weekly, into my bank account every Friday morning. I couldn't even calculate the amount of times I went to the ATM on Friday morning to find nothing in the bank. Then, in the afternoon I'd get handed a cheque.

A cheque? At half three on a Friday afternoon? Nevermind that my weekend would be a complete non-starter, sure, my rent was due every Monday morning.

I don't understand why you'd leave it to the last minute, and have nothing saved before know. If you knew they were unreliable?

I guess he/she must have been a bit tight for money. I can understand how it could happen. I think the company attitude here is disgraceful. Regular payment of employees is a fundamental function of any firm. Bad form.
