Surpised he's still in RTE, heard him filling the big shoes of Ronan Collins.

I never rated him as a DJ/presenter on 2FM, Lyric FM or Radio1.

I reckon theres some serious brown-noseing going on there!

Very much the supply teacher across the schedules. He's down to do the overnight Olympic coverage on RTÉ Radio 1.

I used to enjoy Daybreak on Lyric FM at the weekends, which was classical chillout, no presenters etc. When Lorcan started filling that slot, I began to dispair and tuned out of Lyric. He sounds very ill at ease on Lyric.

Mr Mild. Somehow he manages to make Collins seem edgy! :pac:

And quite frankly that would be fairly difficult.

Radio to a formula,a bland tasteless lifeless formula, which today will be bland and tasteless, and tomorrow will be ,yes, you guessed it, bland and tasteless.

    jaysus!!

    RTE1 0900 Fanning!!
    RTE1 1000 Woodie!!
    RTE1 1200 Lorcan!!

Three hours PRIME TIME radio worked by jerks who wouldn't rise a bit of excitement on a priests night out in a pole dancing club.

I now listen to Newstalk after 1000

Eh, Lads you're being a bit harsh. I thought the summer schedule provided a couple of bright lights. Myles Dungan is a far better performer than "The Plank", Lorcan Murray is a fine sub for Ronan, if RTE 1 HAD a music policy, Murray would be a shoe-in. Admit it Lorcan is the house wife's choice
