I have to wonder what percentage of all Irish people would get that one right. I suspect the figures would be similar. For the majority of people, knowledge of the universe outside of Earth is irrelevant.

When our own John Banville ( http://www.contemporarywriters.com/authors/?p=auth13 )wrote a book about the mathematician/astronomer Kepler he was berated on Irish television for: "Writing about chill glaciers of remoteness, unfathomably lonely wastes, removed from all human warmth."

    Lots of people hate astronomy.
