Komplett - Everyone raves about it but is it the best??!?!

    Hey,
    I'm looking to build myslef a nice gaming rig soon and was looking at graphics cards, GTX 280 and found komplett's XFX version is priced at €545 while dabs.ie had exactly same card (if im not mistaken) priced at €419 should i buy now from dabs incase they've made a mistake??

    Why is there such a price difference?

    Ireland needs a price comparison site like kelkoo or pricerunner (inform me if there is one already plx)

    I have noticed Dabs are a good bit cheaper on some products, but you should really do a comparison of all the components prices on both sites, then pick and choose the cheaper site for each one.

    One thing about Dabs, that puts a lot of people off, is the sometimes overly complicated security check. Some people have had troubles in getting Dabs to accept the IDs that the people have sent in. Another problem is they only offer GLS for delivery (or DHL at great expense). GLS can be very hit and miss (mostly miss), and even have a habit of leaving items on your doorstep, for anyone to steal.

    They are usually not the cheapest but over the last six years that I've used them I've yet to regret using them. I will happily pay a premium price for such insurance and calm of mind (yes I know others have had bad luck with them) after some "interesting experience" such as "sorry, we can't deliver because our CEO got caught in Vienna customs".

    Depends what you're buying from them. For custom builds prices vary from site to site.
