Wors crash I have ever seen in pictures: SLR McLaren torn into pieces

    this accident happened in Qatar on the 15th when a 22-year old driver lost control of the Mercedes-Benz SLR McLaren.

    looking at the pics again, I'd say he did survive as the cockpit (upside down) does look intact.

    The SLR is mostly carbon fibre, isn't it?

    That tends to splinter and break nicely when you throw it end over end.

    An important lesson can be got from this.

    When you buy a McLaren SLR don't give it to your 22 year old son!

    Ah t-cut isn't the best now. A machine polish would do a far better job, should get rid of them swirls too.*

    Agreed. Cars like these have a habit of punishing stupidity from time to time it seems.

    This is what was left from Ferrari Modena 360 being tested by two journalists in Poland. One of them died, other one barely survived, but it looks like he might go to prison for causing the accident.
