is there a thing as a french conversation groups in dublin?

You might have some better luck on http://www.forum-irlande.com/ there are usually a few french people looking to go for a pint on there or meet up for the matches ( play some Petanque )

It's very informal, and no moderator. You just can't be shy. Go in and start talking! You can end up meeting a lot of people that way.

There are usually quite a good crowd, good people interested in French conversation, just like you.

Good of course! Can't garantee you there won't be any weirdos... But that could be a linguistic challenge!
