    HI all,

i'm thinking of putting a wetroom upstairs in a new build. Was just wondering what the sequence of works is.
Would it be to torch-on asphalt to the hollowcore, followed by a screed to falls (with u-floor heating), followed by tiling?
Also, would i neeed to continue the asphalt up the walls?
What is done at door detail?

    Thanks in advance

If yuove got a concrete floor with a screed finish, try screed laid to falls to floor gully with "Altro" non slip floor finish, turned up at the walls. It has to be laid by a specialist and the floor has to be very dry.

Concrete and block should be fairly straight forward.

You should consider sealing wall around shower area, especially if installing a power shower.

Wet rooms are quite the norm in Denmark, on timber joist.
Our wet rooms are on timber floors & walls. Used cement board on all walls and floor, sealed all joints, shower area and wall - floor junction. Used waterproof adhesive, electric underfloor heating and tiled whole room.

We have a 1500 x 1000 shower area, with glass block. Great comfort... I hate tiny shower trays now.

Works fine... which is lucky, as we had a bath overflow pipe problem and the plummer also flooded the bathroom when he let the sink overflow. So ground floor was saved at least twice, so far.
