well I am not a expert - but - the father in law has always had springers, always male and always in the same pen some time three but usually two. I can only remember one or two occasions when I saw or heard of them fighting. It would usually occuar when a new dog was introduced (always settles down once domenance is determined) and at feeding time, this is of course related tot he latter point.

    Hope this helps.

if they are both from the same litter they'll already have sorted out their hierachy. if they are adults being brought in it'll only take a little scrap to sort it out. un like terriers they wont fight to death, a quick rumble wiil sort out whos boss then that should be the end of it. imo. springers will settle with each other quickly. as for for question, dogs might be a bit more likely to argue, but i dont think it wolud be an on going thing.

I have just got a second springer male 11 months old .It took a few day's for the older fella to get use to him a few dominance issues .I would recomend that you feed them seperately as the dominant one will bully the other off his food if he gets a chance ,Then it really will kick off.

Just a side note if getting two pups from the same litter. They will pay more attention to each other rather than you. Which can be a problem when training them together or running them as a brace.

    Mallards.

. I would always do my training seperately stops the dogs trying to compete with each other + I would also run the dogs seperately when out hunting so that I can constantly rotate the dogs so I allways would have a fresh dog , mean,s that you have a dog's that on the ball all day ,and not missing much.

I have a setter and a monster of a lab and they can not be fed our housed together. Training and hunting together is no problem. Both dogs

They fought and fought (setter needed a few stitches on his head) until eventually we had to split the pen 50:50 for them.
