Deer stalking rights/lease?

Hi there,

If anyone is leasing out sporting rights to stalk/hunt deer in the South East or Dublin/Wicklow could they please PM me info?

I'm enquiring for my other half, he has been offered rights in Sligo, but I think it's too far away a drive to make it worthwhile.

He does have permission to hunt a few places more local but he would like to get a private lease/hunting right also.

Any info would be greatly appreciated!

Sorry i cannot advise you on places near Dublin / Wicklow but would be myself interested in deer stalking arround Sligo as i leave near Galway.
I don't know any local farmers or Gun club in the sligo area so was wondering how you got these rights ? Did you approach Gun clubs ?

Hi Harlem and iwsf im based in fermanagh and am just starrting to research how to go about getting stalking / hunting opportunities in the Sligo and Galway area. Im sort of in the same area as your selves not knowing anyone local. I supose the only way is to go and visit the area.

Hi Nimrod69, the only way is to come along and ask local farmers or gun clubs.I am not Irish but have been living here for years so manage to jon the local gun club. I would love to go deer stalking but do not know where to ask. We do not have deers locally. If i find a place i will let you know.

Thanks for that mate, im thinking of taking sometime off and heading down sligo way as its only 20ish miles from me and doing just that asking around to see how the land lies i'll keep you infoed

hi there, i know it might be to far to travel, but try the kerry region, i have recently been granted permission from 2 farmers and am waiting on a 3rd, i just went and asked as i know from hearing others that the farmers crops are being destroyed, 1 farmer actually started smiling and couldnt give me the letter fast enough.

hows it going any joy yet, ive not had the opportunity to get away from here but did get a "chunk " of ground close by the house and off to see a bloke for another 65 + acres on monday. Still trying to get to sligo and donagal lol

I'm here in KK CITY I've been to Kerry twice with a friend now to stalk deer and I know it's a long drive but it may be worth the time to go there. The new road from Urlingford to Cork is now open so the time will be cut down a little.

Nimrod69, No did not get a chance to look for a place yet. Will start in the new year. Doing first the HCAP. Maybe we should join forces ?
