One of those bands I always meant to explore more after the great single Chips Ahoy!, but after reading about their new album Stay Positive the other day decided to pick it up. Excellent stuff: a great, old school rock record: catchy riffs, lots of noise, interesting lyrics. Opening two tracks, Magazines and the fantastic closing Slapped Actresses are stand outs. Any opinions? Kind of band that seems like they should be more popular than they are!

Yeah I'll pick that album up when I get the chance. Love the songs I've heard so far. Sequestered in Memphis is great.

Picked up Q the other day and that was the second good review they got in the past two years so I think I might check them out. Also liked the way they were described as a bar band

Probably the best, straight forward band going at the minute. None of the wanky solo's or obtuse lyrics, just straight up rock and roll with probably some of the best lyrics of the last 10 years.

They aren't re-inventing music, but they do what they do so well, they don't need to.

It's good to see a band actually enjoying themselves for a change, so many bands take being in a band far too seriously.

Boys & Girls in America is moving and rocking in all the right places. A real gem.

Haven't picked up the latest yet. The reviews are all promising. Most of them 4/5.

I didn't think this album was out for about two months yet. It should be good. Boys & Girls in America was a great straight-up rock album with Stuck Between Stations being the best song on it.

I'm sure they supported the Stones last year, I'd rather have nails driven into my eyeballs than having to go through that ordeal again.

Really, not a small bit of hyperbole on your part maybe?

Like i said, it's straight down the line rock music, it isn't for everyone.

I saw them in the Academy earlier this year. Great band, excellent live and they are really likeable guys as well. Always smiling and telling the crowd how they enjoy playing music.

    A great bunch of lads!
