As we have now joined the iPoker network and can now take part in the ECOOP, we are allowed to have some input into how it is structured. We are wondering what players views are on the various tourneys. I have posted here some of the questions which were bounced around here in the office and would like some opinions or views.

The Omaha tourneys should they be rebuy's or freezeouts or 1 add on allowed?

The main event is $1000 buy in is this too much would you like to see it lowered or raised?

There are also plans for an 8 seater $2500 buyin event is this too high?

Also the biggest questions are over the limit Hold’em event. Is there much interest among the boards community for this event? It is being considered to change it to a six seated tables? Is this a step in the right direction?

Any opinions (Both positive and negative) either PM-ed to me or posted here will be highly valued.

    1) Rebuy is ideal for plo but if possible a double chance would be good.

    2) 1k is fine

    3) 6 seater would be better

    4) I played all events bar the limit in the last ecoop, basically I needed to finish in the top 3 in any of the 200 freezeouts to break even for the week, the limit just wasnt worth it despite the fact I like limit. Basically the whole ECOOP was 2 big events - the 1k and 750 freezeouts, the rest were way too small in comparison.

Look at the WCOOP on Stars, their Main Event is now a $5,200 buy-in this year with $10m guaranteed, so $1k certainly isn't too big IMO.

Don't copy the stars payout structure anyway.

I rarely play omaha tournies but from what I gather some form of rebuy tournie would be the way to go.

Regards the main event I think 1k is spot on,need a decent buyin for the big one and pushing it up any further is just pricing players out(even considering the numerous sats/feeders).

8 seater 2.5k buyin? that's a bit of a strange one. This sounds like the real main event to me,if they want a big shorted handed tournie(and 8 is neither here nor there) it should be kept to 6 seater and the buyin MUST be less than the main event or else it can't really be called the main event!?!

As for the limit holdem tournie...pff;) Surely replacing this with another event, like a 500 shorthanded tournie would make more sense? Are there even any limit tournaments on ipoker? If the answer to this is no then I honestly don't see the point in this at all.

All that aside Ciaran hopefully they'll have the structures right,ie clock/blinds/antes.
I understand from a business viewpoint the standard structures on the network, but surely for a big event such as this they can push the boat out a little. The lack of antes across all the tournies on the network is ridiculous and very short sighted on their part.

All in my humble opinion of course.

All events sound good to me except the 2500 is tooo expensive. People like sng's why not have a shoot out tournament, bound to get numbers.

At least one 6 max tournament is essential, there should really be several plus a heads up tournament

I was happy with all structures last time around.

An 8 seater is not on. That should either be 6 or 9. And a heads up tourney should be added.

    8 max serves no purpose

May sound obious, but have a look at what Full Tilt do for their FTOPS series and what Stars do for their WCOOP in terms of what range of tournaments to include.

Slightly off topic, but in case you haven't clicked, the Boyle banner ad says "Sponsor of the 2000 IPO". About 8 years before your time I tihnk.

I wondered about that, I thought maybe the IPO are aiming at 2000 players this year?

Anyway, I changed the title of this thread to something more informative.

If there is any intention of running a rebuy tourney the bug that stops people being able to double rebuy if they lose their chips last hand before the break really needs to be fixed.
