    I seriously doubt that it is to do with DAB.
    It might be to feed HiFi with Audio?
    What kind of connector is it?

    Analogue Audio (RCA Phono/Cinch) – For users wishing to
    integrate the set-top box into their home audio system.

    Electrical SPDIF Output (RCA Phono/Cinch) – Coaxial cable
    connection to a surround sound audio system or Hi-Fi amplifier.

    These are the connections you're on about. Standard audio output connections for HiFi gear as Watty said. Nothing to do with radio or DAB. They are usually labeled Analogue\Digital audio not radio.

    Not on my Pace DC621KU there isn't...

    There is:

    * A/C power in.
    * SCART in
    * SCART out
    * RF in
    * RF out
    * Ethernet (you won't be using this anytime soon...)
    * Audio Out (x2)
    * Digital Audio Out.

    You can listen to digital radio through your TV speakers with your STB by pressing "Guide" then "Digital Radio". This isn't DAB, its still DVB-C, just audio only.

    Incidently, while on NTL boxes you can dial a channel number above 901 to get a radio station, on UPC boxes these channels are no longer there and you need to use the EPG to select digital radio stations.

    I looked at the Pace Web Site a box like my friends was DC621KU his might
    not be the same. It was only conneced last week. Rang NTL they said I

    could connect to the socket marked Digital Radio and get Digital Radio on

    any DAB set.

    Really? I bet you can't.

    It's not impossible that they have an iTrip type RF modulator. the IC and parts are about $3! Single chip, 7.6MHz crystal, 2 pin serial bus tuning from main CPU and a few 2cent resistors and capacitors.

    That would allow the selected audio on a single FM radio channel?

    But obviously not on s the standard DC621KU
