Invasive weed from Africa in Lough Corrib

    It seems that an invasive weed from Africa is still being sold in garden centres across the countries for private ponds. It's already become established in Lough Corrib, looks like it will spread across most lakes in Ireland soon. Why are these and related potential invasive species still legally for sale in Ireland at the moment? It doesn't make sense!
