I know you can't offer medical advice here but I have a quick question if the mods will allow it. Using all my energy even typing this! I've been very sick since Friday and have been to the doctor twice, on three different antibiotics for a very bad dose of bacterial tonsillitis, double ear infection, swollen glands and high fever. However, medication has not kicked in, I can't swallow fluids, can't hear at all in one ear and barely in the other, havent slept since Friday night and have zero energy to the point where I'm almost crying. I'm not usually a bad patient but can't believe there's been no improvement at all. My dilema is I'm considering going to A&E in the morning, I think I need putting on a drip, even have diarrhea now aswell. Can't ever recall being this sick, I'm just consious of wasting their time in A&E, never thought tonsillitis would be grounds for hospital but not sure what else the doctor can do for me seeing as I've already been twice, shouldn't medication have kicked in by now? On double dose since Sunday. Would I be over-reacting going to the hospital if I'm still the same tomorrow? Last thing I want is to take up a valuable bed if it's not needed but can't cope with feeling this bad for another day!

It takes time to defeat lots of infections.

Phone your doctor and ask what you should do.

Is this under your doctor's instructions?

    I'm locking this.
