I have a Iqon pc with XP professional and have Norton 360 2007 installed. Every time i switch the pc on it comes up telling me that auto protect is not on but when i put it on and apply the change it will not save it.i also run live update and it does not help. I would appreciate any help.

    Regards

Get rid of it, its the worst virus You could ever put on a pc, honestly.

I recommend Avg, Avast or Avira, all completely free

It's a piece of sh1t, get rid of it. Almost as bad as a virus and just as difficult to remove properly.

You need to Download and run the Norton Removal Tool:

When I got rid of it I installed Spybot Search & Destroy and Avast (or AVG is highly recomended too).

no seriously just get rid of it....

i know you might have paid for norton but removing it will be like a free upgrade, so that can be your refund for not using the full year, avg is a lot better at spotting adware and is totally free too

funnly enough norton 360 is very similar to a virus...
badly overuses resources and hence slows you pc
steals your credit card details and uses it to buy stuff (auto resubscribe)
    turns off your windows firewall
turns off internet explorers phising filter
doesn't mind sharing your system with other viruses and adware, (even though it's meant to remove them)
can block internet explorer from viewing websites(norton does this more often then viruses)
    displays annoying pop-up messages
can cause program not responding errors when you try to shutdown

the program linked below will remove norton
