    Ahhhhhhhhhhhh!! Sounds good.

Plugged in my laptop to my tv before, had picture but no sound from my tv speakers (only from my crappy laptop ones). Would it be the same with this device? Would I have to buy additional speakers or something??
Thanks (sorry for slightly going off topic)

Seems like a good price alright..

But looks identical to the Argosy one sold on iBOOD every few months - the remote is definitely identical anyways.

No, this is meant to be used as a media drive on a TV and would use an actual Scart / Composite connection.

You probably used a composite or s-video cable to connect to the TV. This only carries video. You need to get a cable that connects from your laptops headphones socket to your TVs audio input. For example the yellow+red+white sockets on most TVs are the composite inputs. Feed video into yellow and audio into red and white.

The audio cable would be known as "3.5mm Stereo Headphone To RCA Adapter Cable". Available from Peats, Powercity and any place like that.

Hmm tempting so can I play my divx movies straight to my TV with this. Specs are a little thin.

Not sure if this is a bargain...

Ya it looks like a bargain to me (assuming the product is fairly good quality), I bought a similar device a few months back I think the average price was around €200 for one with that size hard disk....

...of course it all depends on the quality of the device, some of these media players can be a bit bogus (terrible menu, stuttering playback, etc).

Have seen them cheaper or as cheap but they are non brand ones. This is an Iomega so well respected and its a good price even for a 360gb hard drive let alone the media aspect.

I have one of these. Unfortunately I didn't pay that cheap price for it. Has played everything I have thrown into it so yes this is a good bargain. Might even consider a second one at that price.
