Cheaper tickets for IWW

There has been occasions were I will buy a ticket to IWW and would feel regret once sitting down but Saturday night when I was told at the door that the tickets were 20 euro I sat down and was filled with sad regret.

I believe IWW would want to calm down with their ticket prices and patheticness such as the hurling heroes. I also do believe IWW's tickets should be €12.50 tops.

Take your munchies off the seat in future before you sit down - you won't regret it.

If people are paying that amount then they'll keep on charging it. If you keep on regretting buying tickets to IWW then I'd suggest that you stop doing it

Was the smallest crowd Ive ever seen at the forum at an IWW show therefore nobody is paying the money except me who didn't know what the hell I was doing.

Sounds like you have been to see IWW before so you knew exactly what you were doing.

Yeah but I went to see a wrestling show and all I got was a pantomime.

IWW has to pay for the talent it advertises, while doug basham isnt exactly a superstar he still charges a fee for his appearence, hence the high prices, offset that with other costs and ye can see why they charge the prices they do

ok, fair enough. I'm sure IWW reps read this forum so hopefully they can use the feedback to improve their product. It might help them to help you enjoy the show more though if you could be a little more specific about what you liked / disliked about the show.

nope would have been had i not been working that day, anyhoo doesnt matter whether i was at it or not, i think you went to the show expecting something that iww isnt

Sorry you feel you were ripped off, but nothing anyone here can do about it so there not a lot can be said other then they pay for the talent therefore there ticket prices need to be in line with that

I believe i was in the smallest in attendance show ever by IwW, it was in drogheda, and it was on a WEDNESDAY night!

Kash was there.... but it wasnt fully promoted.

Think i took a head count of 29, including myself and 4 mates. :(:(

IwW promotes to kids in this country, thats where the money is. Family entertainment.
For guys like you and me, every now and again they will throw in a guy who will mean something to us to make us fork out 12, 15 or 20 euro a pop(pun intended). Once we've paid our money, we're in the door, they're happy.

In respect there are a few guys in IwW who care so much about the fanbase, guys like Bingo, Bruiser, Manson, Vinny, Viper. These guys put everything into putting on a great show, but none of that matters when simon rochford or whatever his name is, is booking the show just to get us guys in the door so they can cover all they're expenses and do away with us after that. :(

IwW is 100% committed to its fanbase.

Recently the only insurance broker in the country that would cover Wrestling, O'Driscoll/O'Neil, pulled out of covering all wrestling events and training schools in ireland. IwW worked around the clock to obtain a new Insurance company. We are now the only fully insured wrestling promotion in the country. As a result of this, our administration costs have risen and with the added costs of fuel for international flights, we had no opition but to increase our June & July tickets prices. Each and every person that attends an IwW Wrestling show can feel safe in the knowledge that we have full Public Liability Insurance.

As of August onwards our Live Event ticket will return to regular prices. Also, at present, IwW is working on its new website and TV show too. Any and all feedback is welcome.

Shhh, IWW like to make claims like that, it's where all this resentment is coming from.

This would be awsome if this turned into a inter-promotion feud!

More pathetic lies from IWW I see. Market leader in mediocrity, bull**** and bad bad wrestling on the Irish scene! They should fire Rick O' Shea as well while they're at it, utter waste of space as well as looking like a retarded offspring of Friar Tuck!:D

They can't "fire" someone who they never hired, everyone in IwW is a volunteer of sorts...

Also, whats so bad with rick?

Theres much other worse ones, like hurling enthusiasts who are acting like wrestlers :P

I love that they're hurling enthusiasts acting like wrestler and not vice versa.

Have you ever seen Rick O' Shea wrestle? Honestly, the most entertaining thing about one of his matches is watching the lights dance and glare off his shiny, bald, penis-like head. He's the worst wrestler I've ever seen. They should fire him regardless of whether he's a volunteer or just brought in on one of those make a dream come true foundation schemes for special kids. Having him "perform" on one of their shows is the final nail in the coffin of IWW's by now utterly tarnished reputation.:pac:

'Driscoll O Neill are only a broker, they dont underwrite the insurance. An insurance company didnt offer renewal terms is what your saying.
IF ODON were the only insurance broker in the country offering cover, where did you get your new cover from?
