    Anyone else doing the PGDE in UCD this August? Anyone receive anymore info about the course from UCD?

    hey I'm doing it in UCD and no info yet ... in fairness UCD are never too quick with details!

    Oh ok. I didn't do my degree there so haven't a clue what they're like but they'd want to get a move on. As far as I can remember from the original info they sent out we'd be starting on the 25th of August, thats only 6 weeks away!

    Yeah thats the date I thought it was starting.
    I have to hand in my notice at work next week so I hope that is the date.
    Hopefully UCD will send out information soon.
    Did you get a timetable from the school you will be teaching in yet.

    No I haven't got anything from my school either. If hear nothing in the next week or two I probably contact them. You get your timetable? It'd be good to have an idea well in advance of the classes we would have to prepare for.

    I have an induction day in the school I will be teaching in so might get it then

    The school I'll be in are having their staff meetong the 26th of August but I'd hope to have my timetable before that! They said they'd be in contact anyway so the sooner the better!

    Just got info pack from UCD! They must've known we'd be getting anxious around now! Course starts Wed 27th August...

    I did the dip in UCD last year. They sent me info in April and after that I didn't hear from them untill I went in on the 28th of August. Likewise I didn't hear from the school untill I went in for the staff meeting and thats where I got my timetible... So I wouldn't hold my breath waiting for more info! :)

    You'll be wrecked from the teaching, even though you'll probably only have a couple of classes - everyone always is.

    Yeah I was subbing for the past year and would be ready for bed come 4 o clock! So I've an idea of whats to be expected.
