After a night of crazy celebrations for our second birthday at the start of July, Lunar Disko returns this Saturday to rock your bank holiday weekend with two top Irish acts and a very special guest from Holland.

Opening up the night we have Shane O'Meara who made his Lunar Disko debut back in April. That night he mixed it up with some killer space disco and electro and we have been looking forward to his return set @ Lunar Disko since that night back in April. With some seamless mixes regularly up on DanceMusicIreland as Pob, we recommend getting down early to check him in the mix.

Visiting Dublin for the weekend is a highly rated DJ from Holland, Endfest. We were more than happy to have this lad down to spin the funk at Lunar Disko, after first hearing him play @ the CBS robots-for-robots party back in 2006 and we promise he wont dissapoint!

Endfest got interested in Hip Hop and House in his early childhood, while his social surrounding didn't really dig the music he was into. After some wild years in the high days of the Dutch gabber virus, Endefst found his way back to pure electronic music at the second part of the nineties. With massive help of the great work from producers like Legowelt, Jean Michel Jarre, Kraftwerk, Adonis, Orlando Voorn & Suburban Knight, Endfest got inspired to start collecting records. Soon after that he bought his first mixer and turntables.

In the year 2003 Endfest started up his own ideological thing, The Arctic Boogie Movement, to create a platform where he could spin all those great records that dont find their way to regular club nights (certainly not at club nights in the Eastern Jungle of Holland). Under the motto 'Where is nothing the real exciting things are happening' he started to put on electro, techno & disco parties at tiny, obscure locations in the Dutch Eastside. Some people said he was mad to put effort and energy in a region like that, but straight from the start the Arctic Boogie party's where filled with freaks, loco's and electronic music lovers from all around the countryside. Since autumn 2007 Arctic Boogie officially became a foundation. A vehicle to work out the 'Arctic Boogie countryside electronic mission' with even more power.

Endfest and his Arctic Boogie Crew organized and hosted Arctic Boogie nights in clubs like Doornroosje (Nijmegen), CityLido (Groenlo), Vaaghuyzen (Amsterdam) and t Wapen (Eibergen).

DJs and live acts who have played at Arctic Boogie events so far: Legowelt (Bunker/Strange Life), Serge (Clone), Tako (CBS), Seutek (Moustache Records), Intergalactic Gary (CBS), Slick Chick (Chicks on Technics), Mark du Mosch (Keynote/Moustache), Sendex (Bunker), Orgue Electronique (Crème Org./Bunker), Pametex (Clone), Lady Aïda (VPRO/Rebelbass), Pawel Blot (Crème Org./Poland), David Vunk (Moustache records) & Gstring (CBS).

Since he moved to Amsterdam some years ago, Endfest forced himself to focus on his DJ skills and to dig deeper for those great & freaky vinyls. He has a residency at radiostation Sternet FM and records radioshows for the la Haya based Cybernetic Broadcasting System (CBS) now and then. Besides that he's busy with organizing Arctic Boogie events and rocking the decks at regular clubs and more obscure places where the real freaks come out to play ..

Our live show on the night will be the return of Lonely Lion.The two boyo's from Letterkenny have always put on a great show whenever they have played out @ Lunar Disko and we expect them to do the business again this Saturday night after rocking the floor before DJ TLR last March.Their live show encompasses a dark spacey electro sound and we expect a release for these lads in the not too distant future..
