    Howdee,

Basically, I have a Charvel I bought back in 1993 (used). It's a strat type body, pointy head, 24 fret thru neck, kahler locking tremolo.

I'll post pics of it and a serial number once I fix the bugs in the pc at home.

Anyways, I don't know how much it's worth or would be worth now. Apparently it's a late 80s/early 90s one (possibly). i paid £500 back in 93 for it. (When I think what I could have gotten for that money....)

I don't play it anymore, but one part of me wants to hold onto it, as it's my first decent electric I bought. Plus it sounds and plays really well. The other part of me is saying "well, why horde stuff you don't use". But I have no idea how much it could be worth if I wanted to try and sell it....

As I said , I'll post pics and serial no. as soon as I can, and if any of you can help me find out some more info, that would be great.

Check the link for scanned pages of the Jackson/Charvel yearly catalog from 1977-present.

I bought mine in 1989/1990 for £450....I didn't know what model it was for years (I had played it twice and bought it in a sale in one of the music shops in town) but I found out it was a 750XL a few years ago by doing some online digging and I spotted it in a catalog. You can probably find out more via the serial number/online resources. I nearly sold mine in the mid-90's but I'm so glad I held on to it now.

yeah those old charvel teles are really nice looking. i took out my charvel and played it again. ill hold onto it id say. lovely feel off it. but that pointy head!!!! arrrghhh!!! what i would love to get is one of the old charvel surfcasters. beautiful guitars. i had a jackson surfcaster a few years back, but sold it, kind of regretting it now...

Sounds like a model series guitar. Neck through means probably Model 6 but I'm not sure when they came with a Kahler. These guitars are very sought after these days. Well known that they were some of the best bang for buck guitars out there. Check jcfonline.com and they should be able to help identify the exact model and year for you.
I've a model 4 that I picked up only last years and its a great player. I need to give it a good setup though.

yeah, i got that info, they reckon its worth about 500 - 600 dollars.
suppose if they were going for crazy money, id consider selling it (as i dont really believe in having a collection of guitars lying around and not play them...)
but for now, its good to have, ill probably sell on my ltd viper instead and get a single coil job, just to have the option...
