Nintendo is beefing up its motion support with this add-on, which is supposed to proved "an unmatched level of precision and immersion," with sensors to supplement the accelerometer and sensor bar to provide 1:1 motion -- as in, I move my arm this much, my character moves his arm that much.

    More as it develops.
I wasn't sure if this was a good or bad thing (for testers, BAD bad).

Then I realised that this + Boom Blox would be the best thing ever.:pac:

    *edit* Damn, beaten by Speedboatchase

(entirely unfounded) Speculation that WiiMotion is to be packaged with Punchout for Q4 2008, new Zelda and Star Wars also high on the list of possible applications to be revealed.

Punch-Out would be excellent, but wouldn't you need a motion plus dealie for the nunchuck as well?

Punch out has been come up in a lot of places so I'd be surprised if it isn't announced. Really its a question of weither it will use balance board or Motion Plus. my bet is it will be packaged with Motion Plus.

'Wii MotionPlus is scheduled for release in spring and will come packaged with "Wii Sports Resort," which will feature beach-themed activities such as frisbee throwing and jet skiing.'

    Sounds good?

I think not! If the Wii mote was broken in the first place (which this is a massive admittance to), then why release it so soon? I mean, boxing doesn't work at all, it's just a joke.

So now we have to pay €40 to fix something Nintendo screwed up all along?

    Sounds bad.

Well the Wiimote does work! I mean Metroid Prime Corruption was class with the Wiimote.

I don't think its broken, this is just a refinement of it.

    Digging up an old thread...

So i'm excited by this motion plus out soon. I've been putting off getting Tiger Woods until this comes out. Looks like Virtua Tennis 3 and Tiger Woods could be great games. Plus EAs tennis game might be worth a look and Wii Sports 2 also.

Only thing is yet another Wii accessory. For gods sake i have so many classic controllers, nunchunks and wii wheels, etc. Here we have another one.

Also there is a danger it could be ignored or not made full use of with developers having to assume most people won't have it.

I think its called grandslam tennis and it looks great, the graphics are just right for the Wii and it has lots of modes menaing it can be layed with out motion plus and without a nunchuck ala Wii Sports tennis. not much of a sports fan but along with a wii motion plus its a real contender for my cash.
