    Disgraceful

Offaly fail to have U21 decider postponed

Wexford got their U-21 game postponed due to senior involvement earlier in the years - Are the Leinster Council deliberatly sabotaging Offaly Hurling??

All talk of promoting hurling in Leinster and now this - it beggars belief..

It has been postponed. Good stuff. Gives us a chance.

Good to see common sense prevail tbh. That may make it harder for ourselves but fair is fair.

I know a lot of Waterfordians will make the comparison between now and us last year when we had to play those 3 Championship matches in 14 days but at least this problem with Offaly was avoidable.

True. It was tough on yourselves last year alright. But 3 games in 7 days for Offaly would have been way harsh. Should be a decent game on Saturday nonetheless! Roll on :)

I'm going to surprise myself and take the opposite view on this. Why should it not be played?

In this age of player burnout if the match is postponed then the lads on u21 and senior teams will probably end up playing all matches. Play it midweek and there's at least some chance that the guys playing on both teams will be rested midweek to save them for the more important match.

Of course it wouldn't be an issue if they were limited to one team (but that's a whole other discussion;))

They got their postponement, considering that Wexford were successful in a similar application it's only fair that they did.

Only problem now is that if they beat Waterford, the U21 final will take place a few days before the Quarter-finals. Another problem in the offing.
