Cineworld do an Unlimited card, which lets you see as many films as you choose for a monthly fee (of €20), though there is a minimum contract period of a year. The card works in Cineworld cinemas in the UK as well.

You can signup to the Cineworld Unlimited card on a direct debit monthly basis, I'm not sure if that ties you into a 12 month deal.

You're right about the cost, it's normally 10 euro in Dublin cinemas, so if you get to more than 2 movies a month, it's a good deal.

Its Cineworld Screen 17 you're thinking of. That one is the biggest in the city centre.

I thought The Savoy was the biggest in Ireland, but that most be marginal with Cineworld & Liffey Valley.

Savoy 1 is bigger than Cineworld 17. However, the rest of Savoys screens are tiny so its not worth going unless its screen 1. In comparison, Cineworld has lots of big screens.

IIRC Liffey Valley now has the biggest screen in Ireland.

The only downside to the cineworld unlimited card is that you cannot pre-book tickets online.

Nope. You used to be able to do that, but they took that facility away.

Thats awful! How can they justify that ?!! So you are basically being punished for having the card. What if you wanted to go to something that would be very popular and might sell out. You'd be ****ed.

I always used to just wander over early in the morning to book tickets for that night if I was expecting it to be overly busy. Not idea, but I'm a lazy ass student with nothing better to do so it didn't bother me too much.

Well because you ain't paying any extra for the ticket it's no skin off your nose if you don't turn up - so they had people booking tickets for films and never showing up which means an empty seat that they could have sold to a full-paying customer.
