Channel 4 bandwidth

    Has anyone else noticed Channel 4 recordings (FTA) consuming an awful lot of bandwidth lately? My PVR ran out of space the last day. 52 minutes consumed over 6 GB and my crappy PVR has no option to edit recording quality :pac:. Makes a nice change from highly-pixellated ITV, I suppose.

    I find 1 hour uses 1% of sky plus space

    uses the same amount on SKY+ for me.

    although some of my recent DVD recordings from CH4 have yielded bitrates of 6MB+, when the max I get on all sky channels is usually only 4&1/2.

    Interesting stuff. Seems to have settled down again. Two hours took up around 3 GB the last night.
