Moving company/job within fund industry

Hi all - just wondering if anyone has any opinions on whether now would be bad time to move jobs, currently working in the funds industry and plan to stay in it.. just in another co if possible. However with all the current speculation re job cuts etc I don't want to move job and then end up redundant-first in first out…
