Anyone down there got any first hand reportage? Sounds like everyone is being asked to spend the day indoors.

    Mike.

apparently there's asbestos involved, making the smoke and fumes toxic. which is nice

second time in a week it has gone on fire, the recycling plant hasnt been used in about three years but they left alot of rubbish behind. the local residents have been trying to get them to clean it up for ages, lots of rats around. Cops asked one person living near by to leave their house for the day and keep all the windows and doors closed.

The reason they have asked to move out / keep windows etc closed is due to the amount of smoke in the area.

People will be allowed move back in their homes later today. There is no asbestos invovled.
