    I'm thinking of defering my place, if i get it that is
    and i know HOW to do it but does anyone know how easy it is or what would be acceptable reasons? Mine are, i need money for college and need a year out to get it :s except i'd tell them more eloquently

    I didn't realise you could defer without having registered your acceptance. I would contact the relevent department.

    When I got my offer from the CAO (mature student) it said on the form if you want to defer DO NOT accept the place but apply to the relevant institution

    Glad to hear it. By the way, 'defering' (sic) should read deferring.
