fender blues deluxe, my new tone machine

I got my first tube amp last week and I have to say I'm feckin loving every minute I spend with it. I think I got quite a bargain, a chap from a nearby town was selling it for 500€$ with the original tubes (10 years old but they still rock!). I'd appreciate some inputs on webshops selling tubes...

This guy lives up to its name, pure vintage/bluesy tone. I've toyed a bit with the Tubescreamer in my Pod and the thing simply roars.

Spec wise the amp combines a "clean channel", vintage style with no master volume, there´s just the channel volume. The drive channel is of the modern type, separate maste volume and drive knobs. Common 3 band EQ with presence knob, bright switch (any clue on what this does, circuit wise?) and a glorious reverb.

Now I'm waiting for my Fender Japan strat to arrive and hopefully my GAS will be gone for this century year.

    PS: complulsory new gear pics

Enjoy your new amp, and fry those tubes when ya get 'em :D

Most likely, the bright switch just switches an existing capacitor to a slightly higher setting, or swaps one capacitor for another higher value one.

Btw,do you know what tubes you should be getting for it?. If you want any help, post a pic of the back and i'll see what i can do :)

All the websites I've found say 3 x 12AX7 for preamp and 2x 6L6 for power stage.

I hate when you can see the speaker in pics and its not centered. Its not symmetrical! AGH!

Put 2 ten inch speakers in then! and make 'm nice and symetrical;)
I actaully bought a new speaker for my blues deluxe about 4 months ago and it's a big improvement on the stock one. the one i bought was a ted weber ceramic speaker, it wasn't overly expensive either, under €70 delivered from the states.
