Perhaps for a younger crowd? The White House isn't really my cup of tea - any place with arty/student crowd and some decent music - rock/alternative etc

Seems like there is feck all.

Good point. Such a venue would be a great development in Limerick - even if it were just a cafe like the old javas. Problem is really that such places are unlikely to be money spinners. Students dropping in casually for coffee in relatively small numbers won't cover Limerick city centre rates. Unless there was a cheaper location available to entrepreneurs in the suburbs. Somewhere near where students are based that is also serviced by a bus route from the centre, like Moylish or Castetroy. Maybe an alternative music venue for up and coming bands that also included literary/arts aspects on some evenings. Could operate on the basis of cover charge €5 a head and then reasonably priced coffee or whatever once you are in.
