    Hi people!
Im currently looking to appeal 2 subjects as i was a couple % off a 2:1 in my final year course. Can anyone offer some advice as to what i should say in the Statement i have to give the appeals board? (I have to give a statement as to why im appealing the result but im kinda stuck as i cant just say i need a better result to get a 2:1 )

It is awful when you are only 2 marks away, when you say a couple, i pressume you mean you are only one mark away on both subjects. If this is correct, go to your head of department for each subject and have a chat. If they feel you attended well, gave good answers and good assignments, i doubt if they will deny you 1 mark on each subject. However, if it more than 1 mark or 2 marks on each subject, you may just have to live with it, i got a 2-1 in my Ba degree, but was 3 marks of a 2-2 in my masters, and was told i could not have anymore, in light of this, i did not appeal, because i new my thesis was a bit lacking, but i just could not at the time put anymore into it.

The department heads are very approachable, i suggest you start with them before you go over their heads to appeal, after all, they usually or the lectureres know you better than anyone in the appeals office.

    Good luck
