Planning on going away travelling in Feb/Mar 2009 for a year or so.

People say that if you are to get a camera get one with a battery that you just charge the battery when needs be.

But if I am going travelling would you suggest I am better off getting a digi camera that works off your normal Duracell batteries? just meaning its easier to use from the point of view that I dont need to have to charge my battery all the time - just carry a few spares?

    Cheers for any advice

Not an answer for ya but I prefer my mp3 player to be duracell rather than charger, you can buy batteries anywhere.

For what its worth, I would rather use rechargables, use a camera that takes AA batteries and you can have spares and a charger. You can recharge in a hostel or campsite and as a last resort you can also buy normal AA to tide you over 'til you reach a place where you can use your charger again.
Good luck on your trip, I am a father of 3 teenage world travellers.:o
