Hi All,
I popped into game today and they had some great bargins.
I picked up Assasins creed on the ps3 for 16 euro
Also Sega Rally for the PS3 for 10 Euro
Had some Wii games for only 6.99 and lots of original xbox games for 2.99

Which Game was this? I had a look in the game in the Ilac centre and there was nothing much that seemed a big bargain.

Must have a dander in there later... (even if I have 6 or so games still in plastic wrapping, and god knows how many that have only touched the disc tray for a couple of minutes...)
I'm guessing they're preowned? Can't quite picture Game selling a new PS3 game for €10

Sorry the PS3 bargins I picked up were preowned but you can by new games in there for 16.99 too. i'm goign back now to get more ...
There were new Wii games for 6.99 and things like mass effect (new) on the 360 for only 23 Euro..

yeah its a decent enough sale. I just strolled into the one on patrick street in cork and saw Mass effect on PC for 24.99. snapped that up. its 41.99 in play! was well happy with myself i'll have to check out the one in Mahon point aswell to see if they have any good deals too

I picked up Top Spin 3 for PS3 brand new for 44.99 there last week.

its 56 on play and 60 in hmv so great bargain!

got plenty there and in gamestop in st. green, both very closely priced... barely a cent between em.


kiado racer 2 for 8 quid, GT3 a spec for 2.99, vice and liberty city sotrys for 12.50 , midnight club 3 dub edition for free in the bundle..

ahh love a bargin !

I might tip in today and have a look for 1 or 2 wii games. Ill ask about original xboxs.
God help me if they have any, last time I ended up getting 6.... not all for me but did eventually own 4 of em. If their €20 it'll be hard to stop me!

Sega Rally on the PS3 for €16 and Alone in the Dark for €35 were both bargains. Also if anyone needs a spare joypad, the SixAxis is only €30.

I got beautiful katamari and blazing angels 2 (or what ever that ww2 flying game is) for 17 quid each on 360 in patrick street and mahon point, cork. Katamari is a brilliant game if you in the market for something weird and japense.

They also had PSP screen protectors for 98c and a Wii sensor bar for under €8.

Rainbow 6 Vegas is down to €34 - might go back for that tomorrow but word of warning, Haze is half price at €34 I think but avoid as its a crap game.

Tht would be R6V 2 - The most recent one. I'd steer clear too if the pricee dropped that quick. Few enough of the pre-owned left in Game Mahon point - Picked up Assassin's Creed....they still have Virtue Tennis 3 @ 29.99 or get another game 1/2 price with it, Stranglehold, lair, Sega and a few otherrs at reasonable prices.

I got a nice Zelda carry case thing for my DS for a tenner. It was half price. I'm happy with it as I'm about to go traveling. Tomorrow. And I love Zelda. So that's handy.

Really? They had quite a few HD-DVD players when I went in yesterday....23.99 though.

Also have Game Boy Advance SP's w/free game for 30....

Most of the Xbox games left were a bit meh but I did get Splinter Cell Chaos Theory and Pandora tomorrow for 2.50 a peice so that wasn't too bad at all....

Mass Effect for 23.99 on the PC and 360 was a great deal, also saw Dark Messiah 360 for 16.99 (all new) among others. Preowned wise, I even saw 360 games for 9.99.

I used to mostly use Gamestop but even this Sale aside, Games prices have been so much better lately.

Got Assasins creed preowned for €16.99. Ive rented and finished it allready but its such a brillant game i bought it. WHAT A BARGAIN!!

Is sega rally any good might pick that one up thursday depending on what ye think?

I love car games but sega rally is the worst game ever on ps3 its sooooooo bad.not 1 good thing about it.dont touch;)

Also for the retro folks out there Dawson Street has a bunch of Atari Jaguar games sealed for €2.49 and a Jaguar Team tap for €2.99

Also got the Lego Star Wars Complete Saga on PS3 for €24.98 brand new

Driving games' handling is very subjective - Sega Rally might just 'click' with the above poster.

Download the demo if there's one available otherwise, for €15, you could probably make the majority of the cost back if you trade it in when finished.

Got Folklore new for €10

Went down to Dawson street and picked up Beautiful Katamari for e15, sweet! Sega Rally, new, for e15 as mentioned above. They also had Forza2/Viva Pinata double pack for e20 preowned - good deal.

Thanks OP. Was just in Game on Dawson St and picked up the following for Xbox 360 (all pre-owned):

GTA IV €40
Assassins Creed €17
Halo 3 €17

They had Assassins Creed on sale new at 25 I think, but the guy said they'd been flying off the shelves and he didn't have any more in stock. I hadn't seen any pre-owned on the shelves but asked him if they had any and he said he had, so I got it for €17

Goes to show it's always worth asking if you don't see it on the shelves!

Not that my girlfriend will be of the same opinion... :eek:

Usually they have all the pre owned stuff out. maybe somebody was just after trading it in. You got lucky..

For 17 quid its worth gettin kane and lynch. Got it myself recently for 20 and really enojying it
