Other Girl

    Hey all,

I am in my mid to late 20s and have been going out with my girlfriend for over 7 years. However, there always have been times when I have doubts over our relationship. Sometimes I wonder what I would be doing if I were single and the chance to date new people again. This was brought on even more so recently when I met a wonderful girl out. I had great fun with her and we didn't let it get past that.

But I have been unable to stop thinking about her since. I don't even really know her. Just met her a couple of times, and I don't know how long she will be around for. But I am infatuated with her. To such a point that I have been feeling down in myself and feeling grumpy towards my girlfriend who has been wonderful to me over the years.

I'm just feeling confused and think I should forget about it all.

    Any advice?

    thanks!

    Hey,

Whilst I'm sure that you do still love your girlfriend, I also understand why you are thinking about other girls. There is certainly the case to be made that you met your current girlfriend at the wrong stage of your life (i.e. - you were too young). You needed to meet her AFTER you had experienced other relationships, and not BEFORE. Do you understand what I mean?

In my experience with life thus far, when people are in a similar situation as yourself, they typically break-up, but then realise what they miss about their ex partner and eventually get back together with them.

Being attracted to someone else is the often the first sign of outgrowing a relationship.

You need to ask yourself some serious questions about what you want from life.

Em. bollocks. Seriously, have you had much life experience Moonbaby? You will ALWAYS fancy other girls. it's a natural thing. Some peeps can deal with it, some can't. I'll be the first to admit that I fall in to the latter category BUT I think a lot of people are different. Saying that, the OP sounds like he's gone well beyond the fancying stage with this particular girl, so yes, maybe all is not well with his current relationship.

    Hi Op,

I think you should talk to your girlfriend tbh.

Sometimes we meet someone who we instantly click with. it might not lead to anything other than friendship.....but there is a reason why you felt attracted to her.

How are things with your girlfriend recently? Talk to her and establish if she is feeling the same way.

Then come to a decision together rather than doing something and regretting it later

hope it all works out for you

Dude stay away from temptations. If you go for this new girl and leave your old one what makes yo think you won't see another one? When we lose someone or somthing thats when we realise how important the thing/person his. Life is unforgiven my advise control yourself or stay away from temptations.

Does this girl you click with know you are we someone or did you give her the impression that you are single? Is she really worth it?

I know! My head is in a mess! I find I've been thinking abou this girl all the time now! I don't even know if she even likes me in that way. She knows I have a gf but hasn't said anything. I just feel there's something there.

Yes I don't know if another girl came along that I'd feel the same way.
