they are very talented. I only heard them by chance late at night on mtv2 the other night. Is there album available here?

  • Closed Accounts Posts: 106 ✭✭who's yer one?

it doesn't seem to be available everywhere, i've seen it in HMV but Virgin don't have it. (they tend to be crap for music though, they've become almost exclusively dvd-ish)

Hate to sound like a cliché or whatever, but in their case, I really do prefer the earlier stuff. :D

It's good stuff, all of it though. I wish there was more pop like it, and less pop about umbrellas or whatever.

Tegan and Sara are amazing. I saw them when they played Temple Bar Music Centre in Feb. Brilliant musicians, can't wait for their next album in 2009, gonna be produced by Walla again! :)

I have to disagree, even Tegan and Sara themselves aren't the biggest fans and refuse to play some of their earlier stuff. The Con has finally got them some recognition that they deserve.

all bands are like that though and say that.

they want to play their new stuff because it's exactly that, new. when you're playing the same songs night after night it gets boring.

It's not that they think the new stuff is more exciting, Tegan is particular hates the majority of their older stuff and has stated she never intends to play them live again.

Yeah i only heard of them a few months back but love their stuff! Both albums are excellent unfort I missed the gig they had on up in dublin. They have a band supporting them at the moment who I think are class as well called "An Horse" best songs are 'company' or 'warm hands' worth checking out if you like tegan and sara

Got myself a copy of 'The Con' over the weekend and I'm quite impressed. As a general rule I'm not a fan of female indie artists but these are very, very good.

Funny, I was just discussing them on the nocturnal forum with another user the other night!

Found them randomly last week and bought "The Con". Excellent album! Gonna get their old stuff when I can.

If you like The Con you'll prob like So Jealous and a few songs from If It Was You. Their 1st two albums aren't that good, they admit that themselves. They're more folk themed :)
