    Hey man, reboot your modem!

My friend got his 6mb line updated to 10mb, and I'm gonna be checking mine when I get home too. Says he had to reboot for the changes to take effect though.

Still on three Megs at the mo. I rebooted the modem but no joy.
What do you have to do to sign up for the new speeds? I seem to remember a form to be filled in on a web page but I didn't have all my details with me at the time.
    And now I can't find it :(

You must fill out the form online or else they won't upgrade your line. Mine was done in 2 days and I'm on 20Mb line.

Ronny the form is here: http://www.upc.ie/contact/upgradebroadband/

May I ask why this thread is in the Waterford forum and not the broadband forum?! :S

Sully would you mind leaving it open here for a while, I would like to judge how people in Waterford are getting on with these new speeds. There is a mega thread in the Braodband forum about these upgrades, but it seems that many in Dublin are giving out about crap speeds, where as I have no problems with mine in Waterfor d and I know Benifa is also happy with his speeds, but we seem to be a minority.

Cause I wanted to keep it local, I figured we all werent going to get upgraded at once I thought Dublin would get it first so I asked here to see if the Waterford people had been upgraded..

Reboot the modem didnt work for me either :(

    Thanks for that link kensutz

Im presuming customer no. is account number? EDIT: it was.

Knowing NTL now they will charge me an extra 40 euro just to upgrade even though thats what im paying now.

Actually anyone whom had already filled out the online form for the initial upgrade from 3mg to 6mg and from 6mg to 12mg, between March and June, antomatically got the new 10mg and 20mg speeds on July 1st.

I was on the 3mb then the 6mb and now I'm on 10mb.
I didn't fill in any forms but I did ring them to ask to upgrade from 3 to 6 but when I went from 6 to 10 it was automatic.

    Can confirm:

A reboot switched me from 6mb to 10mb, might not be working for everyone but worth a shot. I didn't fill out any forms.

    10mb/1mb btw

this happened me with eircom a few years ago, i left if go and eventually recieved a bill for over 1000 euros, pay it before the bill gets too high, its a pain in the ass owing that much and having to pay it back.

How much are you paying now though? If €40 then you can go up to the 20mb
